Fuel treatments/ cleabers

Recommended Posts

As above guys, do they work? Just I've had a engine light pop up on my car yesterday ( Vw ), and I've had a slight misfire for a while and I though I'd whack this stuff in. I'm curious as to whether they actually do anything at all, or is it a gimmick?

It defo wont fix you car. You will need to get an OBD check to see what the codes are but for petrol cars fuel treatments definately work Id recommend using the Forte 1 but im sure other well branded ones would be just as good.

If its an N/A petrol car then youd be surprised but a small amount of diesel works well also Im talking a litre to a full tank of petrol. Obviously though you would be better off with a fuel treatment and this isnt something that is recommended.

I use a product called cataclean, its got some good ratings and i noticed a difference in fuel economy straight away. Retails at around £12.99-£14.99. I can get it for about £8 at work so thats a bonus :) great product

I only use V-power fuel after going forged, if you stick to v-power that will keep your fuel system clean and also change your fuel filter every every 3000 miles or 6 months whichever comes 1st.

Na mate just a 2.0 petrol 2001. I' just thought I'd check everything tbh, as the pcv pipe was missing, crankcase breather and a massive gash in the air feed to the filter. i got all of them sorted asap, then code popped up. I've heard the coils are really shit on them engines though. :/
