DamoC
Does it make a difference what civic rad it is I use?Found one with fan for a silly silly cheap price , basically brand new too!... And do I need the civic rad cap or can I use a starlet one?Stupid questions.. But I'd rather do it right first time then pay out twice! Thanks
Amjad
Use the Civic cap, you'll just need to cut off one of your existing bottom rad mounts and purchase a Civic rad mounting kit (JD tuning does them)
DamoC
Sweet! Now after our convo on Facebook Amjad! How are people mounting/fitting their civic rads!? Any pictures from anyone?
TurboTobz
There's a guide, you can also use the bottom mount on near side it's had mine on in for the last 6 months and just been propped up with cable ties as I've been busy.I started making my new brackets Im using the thin strips of metal you get with loads of holes drilled into them like 'wall ties' drill was dead when I came to drill the spot welds of the old mount offBut I'll be using two U shaped ones bolted to the two lugs on the rad for a shroud/fan and then I'll think up what I'm doing with the top! DamoC
Ideal , that's one way of doing it , anybody else?
TurboTobz
Basically you can recyle the mouts you remove aswell think that methods shown in the guide all 4 removed can be put to use. Best idea is get metal get cutting gear be creative toy and cut while you have the rad off. You can't really go wrong!

I'm using those cheap cable tie/clip fitting kits and it's not the most secure as you can tell (keeps coming off the mounts at the bottom)
TurboTobz
Which fan are you running mate? AC fan or a slimline eBay jobbie?
daniel_g
Try and get a double or triple core if you can.Do yous have your fans on the front or back of the radiator, will it make a difference ?
TurboTobz
99% of people have it on the engine side dragging air through afaik. Socks new set up has it the oppposing side.
Amjad
Which fan are you running mate? AC fan or a slimline eBay jobbie? Slimline on the back, it had those cable tie type things and the little black clips on each corner, but the clips keep coming loose
