daniel_g Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Sticky TB, or TPS not set correctly possibly ? Your fueling is setup ok ay ? Changed the fuel filter recently ? Few ideas anyway haha. Quote
TurboTobz Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Does it literally bog or does it hesitate/missfire? Quote
Weyro Posted June 3, 2013 Author Posted June 3, 2013 It bogs, goes full lean,Tps is set, its weird because its fine at high speed wot Quote
Weyro Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 had a major google session last night, and alot of hondas seem to get this problem, and they say its the dizzy cap, but surely that would make the car run like shit when going faster? Quote
Chris Green Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 I had the same issue with mine when I did the engine conversion. Run a quick diagnostic by bridging TE1 & E1 and you should a reading on the dash. Mine was caused by TPS. Quote
Weyro Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 i adjusted it when i bought the car last year, could it have gone off again? it seems to work in terms of killing the fuel when i lift off the throttle, could it just need adjusted again or replaced? Quote
Weyro Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 unplugged the TPS and drove around for a bit, car behaves the same, only difference is it doesnt go full lean when i lift off Quote
TurboTobz Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 (edited) It will always go fully lean when you close the throttle, also I had similar issues it was carbon brushes in centre of dizzy were jammed rest of contacts were corroded and rotor didn't look great Edited June 27, 2013 by TurboTobz Quote
Weyro Posted June 28, 2013 Author Posted June 28, 2013 hey, yea its going lean when i open the throttle too, thats the problem, ill try a new dizzywheres the best place to get one, and a rotor arm thingy haha? Quote
TurboTobz Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I actually managed to clean mine up and un jam the brush, but maybe worth calling TD as they will get them out to you next day for free Quote
