morgey
Knock sensor beneath the inlet manifold?Or brake cylinder?Tbh i have no idea lol Edited June 5, 2013 by morgey
Kyle_R
Think Morgey is correct with the knock sensor. The blue wire is actually a black in a blue sleeve with insulation inside the blue. The knock sensor is right under the inlet above the altenator but it can be a pain to find. But I'm sure it's that wire
Weyro
ok cool thanks, ill get it plugged in asap then lol
PaulStarletSR
best way to do it is lie underneath the car and as u look up, the sensor were that plugs into is under the inlet manifold, roughly inline with the 2nd inlet manifold pipe from the right. its literally just over the top of wer the sump seals to the block
Weyro
awesome thanks got it plugged back in and took the car for a run, its running really lean on boost now, around 13afr could it be because the timing would have been retarded with the sensor unplugged, and now that its back in the timing is back to normal/advanced? ive unplugged the battery to reset the ecu, to see if that fixes itEdit: took the car a run after resetting the ecu, afrs are much better now 11-12, car also seems alot smoother and pulls better off boostCould this be a result of the more advance timing, or is it in my head?
