Ct12 wanting some info and help :)

Recommended Posts

A guy has a ct12 turbo believed to be from a supra for sale on the classified section, I have seen a gt for sale that has a ct12 on it recently, I've thought about getting one since, my setup is fmic jam ecu hks exhaust toyo decat toyo mani. Is it possible to just bolt it straight on what do I need to do ? Will it run ok with my ecu ?

Any help would be much appreciated thanks in advance.

itl run fine mate! the ct turbos r interchangable just like the td series turbos. they use the same flange.

flange....hehe

Not all flanges are created equal, some are funny shapes and have bigger holes than others. So they're not all interchangeable directly with a CT9.

Depends what's ct12 it is but I don't think any of them are the same downpipe/ manifold flange as a ct9. Rebuilt a Supra Ct12 at work today and it defiantly wasn't the same. My brother ran a ct12/ct20 hybrid on his old glanza. You should be able to run the compressor side off the Ct12 and use the ct9 shaft though however it wouldnt make that much difference. And you would need to modify the compressor cover a little bit. If you need any more info mate you're more than welcome to ask me! I rebuild turbos for a living you see ;)

I'm running a tongs ct9 hybrid on my daily (rebuilt by Liam I might add!) and it's fantastic. Runs 210bhp/180whp and 180ft/lbs on 1 bar!

Defiantly worth getting if you're wanting a wee bit more power!
