whitestar
Are you sure it needs FCD too when boosting an NA?
russ78
Are you sure it needs FCD too when boosting an NA? yes bud one alters air/fuel mix and the other stops you hitting fuel cut, it is caveman tuning but essentially will get you boosting
rmsnoel
Whats the wire you cut to do away with fuelcut, the yanks do it alot?
dangeestarlet
So you could use this to boost an n/a with the standard n/a ecu?
russ78
So you could use this to boost an n/a with the standard n/a ecu? it is possible yes but would need a FCD and a wideband to set it up correctly
dangeestarlet
Ok il have a look into this and might have it if I can find enough info about it
Steven1995
I don't get it how it works. I thought the N/As didn't even have a fuel cut The only problem is the N/A's ECU can't handle boost, only vacuum.
Matts
its because not many people realise what it actually does The HKS AFR is a fuel-adjustment device that regulates the air/fuel ratio by changing the airflow voltage output to the vehicles factory computer. The AFR was designed for vehicles that are lightly tuned (intake, exhaust system, etc.) and need only slight fuel adjustment. The 12 setting adjustment indicator allows the user to enrich or lean the stock fuel settings by approximately 1.0 A/R point in either direction (richer or leaner).
