russ78 Posted March 16, 2014 Author Posted March 16, 2014 its because not many people realise what it actually does
whitestar Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Are you sure it needs FCD too when boosting an NA?
russ78 Posted March 18, 2014 Author Posted March 18, 2014 Are you sure it needs FCD too when boosting an NA? yes bud one alters air/fuel mix and the other stops you hitting fuel cut, it is caveman tuning but essentially will get you boosting
rmsnoel Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Whats the wire you cut to do away with fuelcut, the yanks do it alot?
dangeestarlet Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 So you could use this to boost an n/a with the standard n/a ecu?
russ78 Posted March 22, 2014 Author Posted March 22, 2014 So you could use this to boost an n/a with the standard n/a ecu? it is possible yes but would need a FCD and a wideband to set it up correctly
dangeestarlet Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Ok il have a look into this and might have it if I can find enough info about it
Steven1995 Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I don't get it how it works. I thought the N/As didn't even have a fuel cut The only problem is the N/A's ECU can't handle boost, only vacuum.
Matts Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 its because not many people realise what it actually does The HKS AFR is a fuel-adjustment device that regulates the air/fuel ratio by changing the airflow voltage output to the vehicles factory computer. The AFR was designed for vehicles that are lightly tuned (intake, exhaust system, etc.) and need only slight fuel adjustment. The 12 setting adjustment indicator allows the user to enrich or lean the stock fuel settings by approximately 1.0 A/R point in either direction (richer or leaner).
