Hi guys looking for a manual box for new year and was woundering if the g6 carolla box will fit as I have a auto in atm or am I best off getting a starlet gt box (c52) if that's correct

as far as i know the 6 speed box is a fairly simple swap, its a bit of a grey area whether it can cope with decent power though. theres no real reason to go for the 6 speed over the tried and tested GT box in my opinion unless you just want something different. GT box is much stronger and will handle as much power as u like.

Right then gents

C52 gt box has longer 3rd and 4th

C56 glanza has a weaker 3rd and 4th

G6. Corrola the 6 speed is much shorter and helps with acceleration which totally transforms the car, all you really have to do is a slight mod on the gear cables pretty simple though

The shorter gears in the C56 are a good thing for some people and certainly not weak. If anything the G6 box is weak and the G6R being a bit stronger.

Flywheel.

Flywheel bolts (autos are shorter)

Clutch kit

Master and slave cylinders

Clutch lines

Selectors and cables

Pedal

Gearbox with release fork

You will need to link the neutral start switch to trick the ecu into thinking its in park so it actually starts but that's about it.

Naa that doesn't matter, on the plug that goes on the auto box the 2 thickest wires need connecting together. That just tricks it into thinking its in neutral.

Neatest but most time consuming way is to do it right at the ecu and then you can remove all the autobox wiring from the engine bay. You can also get rid of the aircon wiring if you feel like it. :)
