Handbrake light on when braking

I've noticed if i apply the brakes with a slight bit of force the handbrake light comes on. Pretty sure the same happens if i change down through gears without applying the brakes. Also add the handbrake when applied is barely sufficient. Any idea what this could be? Brake fluid level appears to be between the max and min lines?

Low brake fluid, or possibly pads. Not sure if these light up when pads are needed.

im guessing its fluid moving around as it does it when slowing through gears too?

It could be matey, I've been meaning to top mine up. Mine comes on during hard breaking.

Oo mine done the same this morning during a sudden force on the brakes wasn't aware it could be low brake fluid level thanks

Brake Pads wearing out. System uses more fluid to push the extra distance..

Low Fluid Level causes light to come on..

Top up fluid. Problem solved

First check pads! Of worn change them.

Then add fluid as needed.

No point driving around on excessively worn pads. Anyone just topping up fluid is asking for trouble

have front disks and pads arriving soon, and do the rears soon after. Would people say braided lines are a necessary addition to a upgraded brake system

yes make a huge difference and I would highly recommended doing it for sure
