John GT
Bought a set of BC BR type coilovers recently to replace TRD ones. I followed online tuturials and I believe I have them set up fine. I didnt touch the preloading of the spring just adjusted the height. I took it for a drive and it seems very "all over the place" for lack of another word. When the steering is straight its fine but if I turn left or right even a small bit its pulls fairly quick to either the left or right. I never adjusted the camber and every nut and bolt is tight. Although the TRD coilovers were hard they never effected my steering that much. Heres a pic of the camber settings. I also adjusted the soft/hard setting 2 full turns from the softest setting but no real difference. This is the video I used to adjust the height https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiiId9lsgno Any help would be great
Idrees
You need a full geometry set up buddy, that's the only way it'll be right.
John GT
You need a full geometry set up buddy, that's the only way it'll be right. Do you mean by tracking it or much more?
Liam_D
As Idrees said you'll need a good four wheel geometry setup with proper starlet settings as they'll be all over the place. Tracking will help but to get the most out of your coilovers setup a proper alignment would work wonders.

I'll get it tracked in the next few days and see how it is.

Just went looking at other threads and the camber plate on mine seems to be okay? http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/20947-cats-ep82-starbo-thread-now-forged-sequential/ http://i662.photobucket.com/albums/uu342/Duncan_Glanza/DSC06301.jpg Or am I missing something? Tercel-R
Wallace is correct, yours are the wrong way around. Look at the camber adjustment slots...yours are closer to the front of the car and they are supposed to be closer to the firewall.
John GT
Cheers got sorted turned around the topmounts and seemed to drive worst but left them as the tracking was out miles, dont know how as ive only driven it about 15 times the last year
toyota gt
when did u fit the coilovers?
toyota gt
i u fitted recently, then thats obv how its al over the place... because u had it all apart... every time u change shocks drives ball joints you are meant to get tracking done really...get the car tracked with 1.5 deg camber and it will be perfect...
