Jamie5414
Just been on a few comparison sites, added all my mods (and soon to be mods) ready for my insurance renewal and was happy with the price. Looking through the declaring mods list and there are some seriously stupid things you can choose... For example: Decals/StickersSide StripesBadges Indicating Increased Performance I think it's just plain stupid really, so a pissed off cop could pull you over "oh ello ello what do we have here (chav in 1.0L lupo)" "what seems to be the problem officer im fully insured" "no this "VTEC INSIDE YO" sticker invalidates your insurance, your coming with us, 8 points and a fine" LOL I understand declaring significant mods, but seriously? WTF! Edited January 24, 2014 by Jamie5414

Zeldoz
Sky were cheaper than Elephant. I had it undeclared for a week waiting for my policy to run it's course. Saying that it only had a backbox when I bought mine! Now any mod I add on costs nothing, and it's like for like replacement!

funny onion
what mods did you declare? and have you got your car listed as a GT or as a standard starlet? It's listed as a GT Turbo. Mods are;-TD04 turbo kit (externally gated, decay etc)-4 point cusco roll cage-Recaro seats-full livesports body kit -3" exhaust -emanage ecu and remap-alloys-tinted windows -anti roll bars and strut braces/c pillar brace etc-front mount-air filter (even though it hasn't got one it's classed as a modification)-coilovers -civic rad-steering wheel-gauges -stickers (doesn't have any now though)There's probably more I've missed off the top of my head. They also agreed to release my no claims so I could use the no claims to insure my ep80 which was a big help.

funny onion
I didn't think they were allowed to give women cheaper insurance these days? Or did that not end up going through? Yeah it was cheaper than expected so I didn't even bother ringing other companies just went with that.
