Insurance - Declaring Mods

Recommended Posts

I never insured my mods on my original GT

Terrible i know, anyway police come to randomly talk to me as i got in my car in a carpark and started taking pictures of everything to send to what was Elephant at the time.. Had a massive argument with them because they was trying to tell me the OEM strut brace was aftermarket and that me 3" exhaust system was probably standard..

Anyway all elephant did was send me an invoice for like £96 to insure my coilovers, induction kit, bov and exhaust so paid it and since then ive always declared everything to save the hassle

Its not worth the risk imo, i got pulled on the 3rd day of having my old GT on the road, traffics and VOSA searched the car for ages, i just sat back and laughed because i knew everything was legit and 100% legal, even though it was totally stripped out :D
