daniel_g Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 My tax ran out on my daily 31.3.14, ive got an MOT on it but no V5 logbook because i only bought the car a couple weeks ago. Can i still tax it without the V5 ? Quote
mikey4410 Posted April 1, 2014 Author Posted April 1, 2014 if u have the green slip from the main v5 before it got sent away yes Quote
Eynonz Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 (edited) I believe that you are allowed to drive a car to an MOT testing station without tax so long as the appointment is booked. Edited April 1, 2014 by Eynonz Quote
kbond Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 You only need a v5 to tax a car nowThe car needs to have an mot but you don't need it with you only the v5 Quote
daniel_g Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 I can't do it online 'If you have recently purchased this vehicle and you have not received your full Registration Certificate (log book) from DVLA (the green slip alone is not enough) you should NOT use this service. If you do use this service without having received your full Registration Certificate (log book) from DVLA then your new tax disc may be sent to the previous keeper of the vehicle.'
