JAM ECU

Hiya

Just fitted a JAM ECU and have read that you have to drive it carefully for a couple of days but has anyone else had an idle problem? I'm hoping it will just sort it self out but if I stop the idle drops ever so slightly and then goes back to normal?

Anyone else had this ?

i just stuck ma ecu in left it to idle for 15mins then drove it like i stole it! its not the unbranded one skimmy was punting was it?

I brought a unbranded one off ebay, reset it left it to idle for 30mins and still didn't idle properly. Car also drove like shit and would just die under load. Even a few miles didnt help

No I got it from Garryrit on here. He had it plugged into his apparently. It drives fine, i haven't driven it hard yet (I will later and see what happens). But just idle is a bit odd. X

Runs fine. And idle seems a bit better but still dropping a bit when I stop

Is everything else standard?

No. I have uprated fuel pump, manifold, boost controller, intercooler, full exhaust system, uprated rad. I think that's it...

Standard fuel pressure though ya? If so that rules that out

Yeah I did have a FPR but took that out as had loads of probs with it. Then was told I didn't need one if I was getting this ECU

How long did you leave it to idle??

A good 15 mins.

Yeah standard fpr is best for these the more you drive it the better it will get. One of the lads here has a palsport ecu and it took a good while for what seemed like a miss to disappear.. Good weekends mixed driving!

Maybe wrong but I always thought you were meant to let it idle for 30 mins 😁
