*NOT STARLET* Suggestions for Polo 2002 Gearbox?

Don't know where else to ask here, and you guys always reply fast

Polo 9N 2002 won't go into 4th most of the time. I have to go in to neutral then shove it into 4th. All other gears are fine. No crunching or noise.

Any suggestions?

Bent selector fork? You would have to take the gearbox off and inspect mate

Standard polo problems. Them boxes are toffee. Sell the car and get something well made
