Griffin Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 (edited) My drivers side electric window has stopped working, after having put it into a garage and them having a look they have told me either the regulator or motor has had it. So my question is; Are regulators / motors interchangeable between EP85 and EP82 and would I need to swap the door loom from my 85 to an 82?Anyone know if Toyota even still stock them for 85's? turbo Grant Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 The reg will be fine unless it's stuck or bent. I would put a lot of money on it just being the motor. I fitted a glanza motor to shortys old 85 just the plug was different but worked spot on Quote

Djaniero Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Dyou need the regulator or the motor?The regulators for the ep82 and ep91 are different. Not too sure about the 85 though. If you re stuck for a motor, just get an mr2 one off ebay and change the plug around. HTH Quote

Djaniero Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 (edited) hmm I'd be skeptical too man. As said above, its the motor that usually fails, not the reg. Have you got a pic of the reg? Heres my drivers side reg ( one at the bottom of the pic) http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/78288-elec-window-motor-help/ compare it to yours and see if anything looks bent. My reg had really seen better days (I went over it with a wire brush and sand paper before greasing it up and fitting it again) but it still worked fine...it was my motor that failed, Edited May 30, 2014 by Djaniero Quote
