Jamie5414
Is a Manifold/exhaust system that is LEAKING exhaust gas a failure? any MOT testers (daniel g?) that could reply that would be great
daniel_g
Im not an MOT tester just yet haha, nearly, done a lot of training just need to do the course Ehh as far as im aware its an advisory if its not excessively loud. It might fail if its leaking so bad that it affects the emmisions. Other than that it should be ok, ie a small blow.

Jhandy
(mot tester) depends how bad the leak is, but as above, it can effect the emissions. jake

Grrrr 99% sure you have a leak somewhere between turbo and back box i learned the hard way my reading was off to so i thought my 02 sensor was fucked so went toyota to buy new 1 , went back to test centre and same result came out !! then the tester told me its almost always a leak in exhaust !!! shaungt
It depends on if it's excessive but I did mot a Volvo the other week with a cracked manifold blowing badly amd it passed the emissions ok
