Tie rod removal

Has anyone done this at all with out using a special tool? Need to replace both of mine!

Any help would be much appreciated, could do with some tips!

vice grips will do the job if you have no tools turn the weel all the way so u just have enoug room to clamp down on it

I just put an old nut on the end of the thread and smack mine with a hammer. Worked for me so far
