jamesh
Got a problem with my rear right wheel hitting the inside of the arch. It mainly happens with passengers in the back but also happens if I hit a bump on the road as the car bounces and smacks it. What I want to know is would I need a new suspension or will a new panhard rod help? Need to know ASAP as a person is waiting for me to buy his. Thanks in advance
JamesD89
Adjustable panhard rod should sort your problem . Have you got coilovers?

morgey
If the cars getting low enough then the oem panard rod will cause the rear beam to be pushed across to rub yes. The problem you will have is fitting an adjustable PR and adjusting it not to rub on stock suspension will mean when unloaded the beam will sit over to one side a lot more. jamesh
So I will need new suspension for it to work?
morgey
No, It will work fine. Just the way the beam work is you will have to pull it over to the other side. So too look at it 'might' look like the beam is sitting over one way a lot more. But when weight is in it it will center itself.
jamesh
Oh brilliant as I can't afford new suspension at the moment! I don't mind that just fed up driving and hear the arch hitting my wheel and the exhaust hitting the ground sometimes Edited August 18, 2014 by jamesh
Manix90
And this is on standard suspension? no modification or lowering? It defo shouldn't be rubbing or exhaust bumping is its all standard.
