forged engine purchase queries

i was looking at this one as its on gumtree but tbh it just looks standard and dirty. if you were having an engine forged and its never been run surely it should be in mint condition?

That's what I was thinking also no paperwork an unsure of parts used aswell

I wouldnt even bother if there is no paper work to prove it

And looking at the state of it looks stock would look brand new if its been forged

I have one for sale and that's the main reason I've left the sump off so people can actauly double check its forged. Even taking just paperwork can be risky as I could just photo copy my receipt and sell 10 stock engines with it as they don't state engine codes.

tbf, it doesn't really look 'dirty' just a bit weathered. But no paperwork and not being able to see it in person id leave it

That's based around 30 mins from some of us NI members. If somebody is actually very interested let some of us know and I'm sure we could go get a look at it for you.

It's exactly what I would expect an engine to look like after sitting idle for six years if he is genuine and you are genuinely interested ask him to pull the sump off an get pictures
