I would go :

free breathing rocker setup

complete engine gasket kit

port and polished head, (by a pro) (valve guide seat reprofiled etc etc mostly on exhaust side)

supertech oversized valves

Billet cams 265degree 9mm lift

titanium retainers

stock valve springs(new)

valves lapped in nicely.

chemically cleaned

head skimmed

1mm ish steel headgasket (athena/toyota/ECC)

straight block (not decked)

74.5mm CP pistons/JE pistons/Wiesco Pistons (fullyfloating pins)

Scat rods (dont see any need to pay for carrillo or pauter as the scats are proven in high rev 4e/5e applications.

ACL bearings

Billet end caps if you can have some made (check with malteasers)

polished crank, knife-edged and balanced

baffled sump

Blitz Active or ORC triple plate clutch and lightened flywheel.

everyone will have differing opinions depend on whether its a road/hillclimb/track/drag setup.

I'm ordering scat rods with wiseco pistons from a guy in america. Around £600 for pistons and rods delivered. Import tax is a thing to worry about but matey said hes happy to reduce value on import docs so win win.

Can Ya get me some contact details for him please mate?

ross pistons/pauter rods (best and cheapest place to buy from us speedvisioncps.com)

act clutches are decent bang for the buck (speedvisioncps.com has them too). you can try spec clutches too.

leave the head alone. stock head can flow decent power. certainly ample for 90% of EP owners. p&p/cams/inlet manifolds all will shift around your power band and if you dont handle it systematically, it wont work well for you. 1.2mm athena head gasket and arp head bolts are sufficient. later if you are going for big power..400+ ...then look into a well spec'd head...
