Things to check before starting up forged engine

Is there anything i should check before i start up my forged engine.

Obviously oil pressure, but what else?

Disable efi. And crank the engine until the oil pressure light goes out. To prime the oil system. You don't want any part of it dry that's for sure.

Chec for fuel leaks before starting.

Start the engine run it for 30seconds. Checking all fuel system for leaks. Followed by cooling system. Then oil system.

Don't load the engine up or Rev it aggressively.

Ok bud, its not a newly built engine.

Hopefully start her up this weekend

Also if its been sat for a while id take the rocker cover off and spray / pour new oil over the cams etc

do not let it idle at all wen started first time either.

needs to be minimum of 2.5 k for at least 10 mins

I said dont let it rev/idle low lol.

Ah sorry bud, i misunderstood you!
