Sams tat (starlet no.3)

Recommended Posts

So after selling my GT turbo to socks about a month back I decided to get a beamer to do a bit of drifting, safe to say a BM is not my type of car and so resorted back to the trusty starlets after missing mine like hell.

I've been acquiring parts for a car I did not have for about 2 weeks now, but I can say now that I have a reason for the spending.

Considering two routes to take this down, I'm sure i'll decide soon enough...

So far glanza reg surround, major service parts, new fluids, strut braces, clocks, few other bits and bobs and more will come. They'll be coming off next week when I start on the body work as NSR arch has some bubbling and there's rust on boot just under the glass. Not too bothered about colour as it'll be changed sometime, just dont like rust!

It was a right bargain and has a decent amount of MOT, not massively high mileage and been owned by a lass for last 4years!

Sounds good. I'm picking up my sr project car that's been sat in a field for 2 years so I need to invest in some major service parts too. One of my rear arches is dented also so will need to address that.

I quite like this colour. I wonder how it would look glanza repped?

Starlets are a bargain I think. Well, compared to my corolla t sport they are.

So after not much action over Christmas due to the weather, its been getting better so I've managed to get some bits done.

First of all I fitted all the service parts I had, new oil and fuel filters, dizzy cap and arm, spark plugs and oil and coolant

I will be replacing the HT leads with magnekor ones however they are yet to arrive.

Recently I took it for an MOT which it failed due to binding OSR brake which I knew about and is caused by a corroded brake cable,

that will need doing before It ends on the 14th and also the exhaust has a 'severe' blow which im told is a hole near the CAT.

Today I have fitted the GT turbo seats which are actually out of my old GT which is a good thing and thanks to Socks for sorting

them out for me.

I've still got some parts to fit and bits to do,

Rolla mani

Glanza rear Reg surround

SR clocks

Clear indicators and side repeaters

Jap spec stalks (if they fit)

Fit front and rear strut braces

Tend to rust on NSR arch and little bits around

Clean the bay

ETC ETC

I have aswell fitted a few little things, new stereo and Cupholders

The cupholders are £10 ones off of ebay and are universal but fit

very well in the car and also comes with a little flocked tray. Sort of

like the Toyota multibox and fits in the space where the blank is in

these cars. Cant complain for £10 and they dont look half bad either.

Also fitted my flare and emergency hammer, some stickers and another

tow hook. D1 spec gear knob aswell.

Some pictures aswell
