WesSunday
Hello UKSO! Thought it was about time I started a progress blog for my Glanza Had him since January and I totally love it! Please feel free to give me your comments and opinions I had purchased the car on SBT Japan and apparently it was sitting in our port for a good 1-2 months under the burning sun! One coil was also fitted the wrong way, the top pillow mount was turned 180 degrees instead and the camber settings were just so confusing! Took me a good few weeks to finally figure out what was wrong with the suspension LOL) somebody f*cked up!- TRD lines- Ashtray full of cigarette buds, plenty of burns on the seats front and back lol ^ Old music system transferred over (dead weight ._. )^Minor engine bay cleaningHad given it a DIY service and installed HIDs on both head and fog lights (6000k heads hi/lo X 8000k fogs)^Managed to send him off for a respray at my friends garage at cost price And also fitted OEM rear lip I stole off my friend! ^2 x EP91^Rolling Shot^3 x EP91^ 2 x EP91 rolling shot^ Decided to pick up an LED bar lol^ Discovering LSD!^ Rims sent for a respray^ White on white ^ Greddy type RZ BOV + K&N filter^ Got bored and decided to make a moustache lol^ Hmmm ^ FMIC with piping for ct9 ^ And so the fitting begins lol

WesSunday
awesome build... ep82 will be the same as ep91 now polish those headlights to let even more light threw Thank you! Ok, I was not expecting so many rows for the IC lol! Not all my pictures are up yet Sweet build, where you from? Number plate is the same format as UK! Thank you! I'm from Tanzania, East Africa! Haha the plate numbers here just go along as the numbers of cars increase Is that how it works in UK too? This is how I was driving around as I made up my mind about removing the crash bar Looks SO MEAN! ^ Finally fitted bumper
Ollieh17
The older number plates we have are a letter to represent the year 2/3 numbers, then three letters at the end that normally represent the area they are from
WesSunday
Midnight Cruise Crew meets So I was cruising with my friend who also has a Glanza running on td04 and as we were cruising around, he hit a cat and broke his front lip! I took no time in asking him to let me fix it so that I could use the opportunity to make a replica!!!!!!!!!!!!! ^ Fiberglass replica made Costed me about $70 and 3 days Way cheaper than it would have if I were to import one Shipping/clearing charges/duties/etc Decided to try spraying it with white spraypaint LOL as im broke now haha. Had let it dry for a day then slapped it on! I wasnt really satisfied with the paint lol as in person, it emphasizes on the impurities on the lip as I'm waiting for enough funds to send the car for garage work! Got a few other minor scratches and dents I want to sort out too! Was bored on a sunday and decided to sand down the specs on the lip lol and give it a change of color to hide most of the impurities lol I thought that black would hide the specs better so I got a can of black paint While the lip was drying I got carried away lol Edited July 14, 2015 by WesSunday

jiggaman_16
Is it me or are you using an internal wastegate setup with a external wastegate-type downpipe?
WesSunday
The older number plates we have are a letter to represent the year 2/3 numbers, then three letters at the end that normally represent the area they are from Ohhh thats a proper system there lol they just count numbers and alphabets here Is it me or are you using an internal wastegate setup with a external wastegate-type downpipe? Yes it seems so, ordered mani and dp for internal wastegate but they sent that downpipe lol my friend ordered from the same supplier and they ordered the ewg mani + downpipe and their downpipe is different, there is like this card thing to block the penny flap side??? mine is just flat lol any idea if this downpipe will affect anything negatively? So..... Fired it up and checked for leaks, etc. Now I was not running a BOV lol so it was chattering like crazy. Went for a test drive on lowest boost setting and the turbo jammed/stopped spooling. Opened it, reassembled it then it spun again. Fitted and now it has shaft play and hits the compressor housing randomly. Car has been parked since play started and picking up a new turbo today! Also managed to fabricate BOV mount on ic piping so hopefully it will be fine! I did manage to get a few pulls on low boost before it gave in and it sure does feel good!! 5e colin
wel if the penny hits the wal then ooverboost will occur so if i where you put some grease on the penny point and bolt the decat back on then open peny so now you know where to grind down a bit on the wall of decat :) the decat is really fat so its ok to remove some there nice build mate :) where did you buy this turbo kit ??? I'll look into this, thank you! I ordered this kit from China waystar auto parts, I ordered it after having a look at my friends EWG kit. It looked pretty good so I went ahead and got one
WesSunday
The first turbo had jammed from running no BOV on IC piping, we believe that chatter and poor oil feed was the cause of the jam. Turbo then had shaft play (http://vid1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag310/DarLife/B69A6B7D-0C55-4658-81A4-E9511307D9F7_zpsvlm5yb94.mp4) after reassembling and mounting it on so I parked the car for a few days and went to pick up another td04 off a wrx engine. Same day we picked up the turbo, we were determined to get it running!!! Worked into the night. Took the car for a test drive on lowest boost setting and increased the MBC notch by notch as we monitored the detcan and AFR. I have a chinese boost gauge that used to read .5bar on stock ct9 lol and after a lot of pulling/monitoring/increasing boost, we were confident to leave it at the same boost reading on the chinese gauge which is 0.5bar (I suppose this is 0.8bar?), we did not hit cut so we assume it is running safely under cut. Need to invest in proper gauges :| Here is a short teaser on the acoustics Internal wastegate FTW! EDIT : Why cant I put vids from photobucket?http://vid1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag310/DarLife/B60051CA-1A62-4E7C-B8C9-41F16C2A4ED1_zpswof9bwmz.mp4 Edited December 24, 2014 by WesSunday
WesSunday
Lol after getting the second turbo running, it failed on me one morning on my way to work. Got really frustrated and sent my car to my friend to see whats up. Turbo died because of lack of oil once again. Banjo was clogged and restricting the oil feed. My friend ended up letting me run on his td04 with new banjos and we also then run water lines to ensure it would last this time. Car's been boosting well at .7bar and driving it daily so far so good. Hoping for more updates soon! Next up ECU?
