Arnold
Hi all Drove my car last night, absolutely fine. This morning I drive it off the driveway and the rear left wheel is stuck! Would this be a handbrake issue or general stuck caliper? I tried rocking it but it didn't free up! Also threw boiling water over it in case it was frozen but that made no difference. I don't really know anything when it comes to brakes and this time of year, most garages are shut - and I can't get it there. Cheers for any help!
Keri-WMS
I've heard of the handbrake cable freezing - it's not the caliper itself that can freeze.

mikey4410
my old starlet gt in 2010 used to "FREEZE" up during winter months. I wouldnt recommend doing it but I used to just drive it normally and it eventually freed up, literally every day it would do it when icy and cold !!!!!I must say it never fully locked solid and stopped wheel from turning, just a little less than that.lol Edited December 31, 2014 by mikey4410

Arnold
Cheers guys. Got home and jumped in it and it released straight away, so I've dumped it in my garage for another month.
fiddlersport
use some spray grease on the cabkes, grease has a low freezing point
