AdamB Posted January 7, 2015 Share Posted January 7, 2015 You want a bolt that's ideally inbetween all cylinders. There should be a bolt under the inlet manifold I believe that you can bolt them too. What's the setup of your car? Do you have any aftermarket management that you can adjust so you can hear knocking deliberately? Do you know what knock sounds like? Stu Posted January 15, 2015 Share Posted January 15, 2015 Use a donut style bosch knock sensor which is pretty common on nissans, then shielded cable back to a small 12v amplifier (ebay) into a set of headphones. Works perfectly. You can alternatively use a aligator clip instead of a knock sensor, just glue a small mic unit into the aligator clip and heat shrink over it. Shielded cabling is a must.
