Dan507 Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Done a bit of searching on this but can't find an answer. I have a toyosport civic half rad and mounting kit, and it doesn't seem to fit. anyone else had this problem? most people seem to make there own mounts and it's completely different to what i have, Rad: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-CIVIC-CRX-DEL-SOL-VTi-ALLOY-RAD-RADIATOR-/190388767093?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2c540e0975Mount: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201316327412?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITwhat i see on most cars with half rad Quote
daniel_g Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Have you got the correct mounts? They are different for EP82 and EP91 Quote
Dan507 Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 Mounts are EP91, but it shouldn't make a difference. they're both the same Quote
decdd19 Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Having trouble with the top mount bracket? I had same problem with a tegiwa half rad either do a custom job or the half rad bracket from a civic should work Quote
Dan507 Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 yeah, thats the one. no idea where the bottom one really goes either lol. that civic mount looks pretty good but i'll end up making something over the weekend i reckon. might be able to drive the car for the first time this weekend Quote
_shaun_ Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 what exactlys not lining up on the top bracket or is it just miles off? jezza makes 2 different kits as the top brackets different between the ep91 and 82 Quote
Dan507 Posted April 18, 2015 Author Posted April 18, 2015 Both to be honest mate, the half rad hits the oe rad mounts which mates the half rad sit too high. Quote
decdd19 Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Chop off the oem rad bracket mount mate that's your first problem Quote
maddox710 Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Both to be honest mate, the half rad hits the oe rad mounts which mates the half rad sit too high. I cut the stock rad mounts off, sits perfect after that Quote
Dan507 Posted April 18, 2015 Author Posted April 18, 2015 okay, i'll they that. still using the OE rad ATM so i'm in no rush to do so. what fan set ups are you guys using? Quote

decdd19 Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Ah no you'd need 1 I'd imagine I'm not even running mine yet ha shouldn't be running the whole time surely? Quote
Dan507 Posted April 18, 2015 Author Posted April 18, 2015 no, i think a sensor is broke so it constantly thinks it hot but no idea where. it will just be easier for me to wire a switch up. Quote
