Hi there

I'm from London and I brought my Glanza a few months ago as a summer project.

Was wondering if anyone could help me out...

It turns over but doesn't start any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance !

that could be loads of things bud, your gonna have to narrow it down, like what have you looked into about it not starting

Lol

Ok so I've checked if fuel is coming through and it is,

I've checked the spark plugs and they are all good,

I've put a new battery in it aswell,

That's all I've checked so far.

Have you checked the timing? A little thing as a coolant sensor can stop it starting bud

Check the rotor arm see if it corroded

If you keep cranking it. It should start eventually. It done it to me once. Took about 15-20secs worth of cranking. Then once it was warm was fine

Right so I've replaced the coolant sensor and still not starting

Anything els I can check?

I've checked all the earths and they are good

I've replaced the battery

Fuel is deffo coming thro

And there is deffo spark

Thanks in advance.

Timing out?

It's been running be for tho how can it be the timing?

Sorry for all the questions I'm only 17 and as you can tell I'm not mechanic minded lol ☺

Running before according to previous owner right? So belt could of jumped a tooth or two

I've just had this. Spark, fuel and oxygen. The car should go mate. That's all that is required.

In theory anyway. As Ben says, if the timing is out then you are going to get an issue with oxygen, escaping gases and compression. A compression check will give you an indication.

If you're really not mechanically minded, then consider getting a garage to have a look at it. In due time you can learn. But start with small projects and learn the basics and the move on up. We've all got to start somewhere and I found that just building a simple two stroke engine will cover the basics that will put you in good steed to working on something more sophisticated.

Right do its runs now but smokes a lot it's white and black smoke and the spark plugs have gone very black just put new ones in and only done 0.5 miles just been starting it!

What could it be!

Ovrrfueling?

I'm from east London mate

White smoke is probably condensation if its not been run in a while.

Black is fuel, could be a few things cause that.

have you checked for any engine codes By bridging te1 and e1 in the diag port? (Someone correct me if i got the wrong pins) sometimes they have codes but dont throw the c.e.l on

It will cause the engine light to flash in a sequence, if its a constant flash its clear but if its spaced out its throwing a code

Right I'll get it checked but this is the second set of spark plugs I've needed to put it other wise car font start because they are so filthy what's causing this its got a fuel pressure regulator on it as by the way
