paddy
I've just bought a cusco LSD fitted in a glanza box, I've heard there very noisy and clunky what the best oil for them? Preferably an oil that's going to reduce noise as much as possible. Also do the cusco ones need rebuilding on starlets? Many thanks
AdamB
Yes they need rebuilding, any clutch type LSD does. Motul or Redline oils are pretty good at keeping them relatively quiet. The more important thing than the oil is how you run them in, that really dictates how noisy they are and how long they last before a rebuild.
Gainzy
Had a go of this LSD few weeks ago and BAM I got addicted around the corners straight away, loved it!!
RobSR
Go for some Fuchs Titan Race gear oil from Opie. Thats sorted many clunking diffs that haven't been totally run in properly

paddy
Thanks for the advice, how long before they need to be rebuilt? It will only be road use
AdamB
Depends how hard its been used, how its been run in etc. They will normally last 1 race season before a rebuild is recommended. The OS Giken LSD's are the best I've seen in terms of durability.
