Front Exit Owners:Cutting Hole for Front Exit

Recommended Posts

Gotta do this tonight and a bit worried. Its a immaculate 98 spec bumper and don't want to mess it up(more than a three inch hole in the side). I dont really like the look of metal plates around the hole but don't want the bumper to melt either. Any tips would be great.

I too let the guy making my exhaust cut the hole in the bumper. And as mikey said, it's inevitable that you will discolour the bumper and possibly melt it depending on how hot it gets and if it flames at all.

My advice on making a hole for a ready made exhaust would be to just use a tape measure from the wheel to the centre of the exhaust and from the floor to the centre of the exhaust to find the middle, take exhaust off and put bumper on, make a 20mm hole on your axis and see how it lines up with the exhaust on the best you can before cutting it to the proper size.
