Ive no had a N/a box apart to compare. Also whats the UK N/a box code?Cheers, Dan
Ep82gi
As fair as I know buddy the only difference is the thickness of the gears The ratios are the same as far as I know
morgey
C151 i think, although some chassis plates state c141 but that would be a 4 speed lol Any 3 digit box has thinner gears. Not sure if theyre interchangable im afraid

Ep82gi
The ratios for 5th and final drive are as follows C52 (Gt turbo) 5th 0.815 Final 4.058 C56 (glanza v) 5th 0.815 Final 4.312 C150 (ep82 n/a not inc 4wd) 5th 0.815 Final 4.058 C153 (starlet gt turbo) yes there's more then one lol 5th 0.725 Final (unlisted) I hope this helps. By the looks of things the I or difference really is in the c153 gearbox but I doubt it's going to make all that much difference. daniel_g
Cheers bud, i did have a look on wiki but some of the stuff can be a bit off so was not 100% sure. When i had my e11 4efe corolla it sat at around 4k on the motorway so cant be fucked with that again! My ep85 is even higher haha. The yaris d4d has the longest 5th and final so could probably go down that route eventually, but if it would be on the 85.

5e colin
dan you need a turbo box and ad an oem lsd box 5th gear set of 0.7 that will lower it a tat or buy d4d yaris box for its set

5e colin
you could use the gear ( 5th ) out of the sera box thats .7 to the question wich 1 ?? think its the 5efhe serra 1 they use 3 diggit boxes cynos / paseo / serra but there is a few inbetween them
5e colin
you will have to keep the 85 bell and fit the gearset to it !!
Phil
Colin, whats the deal with the d4d box/benefits etc Phil
5e colin
higher speeds in each gear and a 2200 rpm cruising rpm at 100kph/ 62mph and around 2500 at 120kph thats a 1000rpm drop on the motorway :)

daniel_g
you will have to keep the 85 bell and fit the gearset to it !!Yes i ment get a d4d box to use the 5th from, the rest of my 85 C50F box is solid, plus the transfer wont mount to the d4d C53 box.you could use the gear ( 5th ) out of the sera box thats .7 to the question wich 1 ?? think its the 5efhe serra 1 they use 3 diggit boxes cynos / paseo / serra but there is a few inbetween themOk cheers, i'll look into it, all the seras i see are autos. Never seen a cynos here. Quite a few paseos though, could probably get a hold of a paseo box if the 5th gear was longer than a UK starlet box.
5e colin
phil i seen 2 versions in the d4d box 1 confirmed from a wreck c53 sadly it had a narrow center casing making me believe its narrow inside that box was used for just a bel swap so did not inspect propper inside to measure the other box landed at my door with my friend that 1 was wide center casing and had wider gears code of box ??? but deffo was .7 gear set on the 5th gear 29 and 40 count i used the 5th gears out of 1 of my oem lsd boxes ( also 29 / 40 ) and fitted that to a turbo box with no issues not al oem lsd come with 0.7 neither
