best electric steering setup?

Hi guys what pumps and setups are you running? Everything will be ripped out of the bay as I'm going all out with it so after suggestion and a guide with pics if possible

Wouldn't even bother mate. I'm doing the same myself at this moment in time and just going without p/s.

Better feel on the road plus its a tiny car that weighs very little. P/s is only really needed for parking anyway so I wouldnt even go to the effort, plus electric p/s normally feels awful.

I never got round to fitting mine either, just drove it without in the end. Was no where near as bad as some people made out it would be.

Was thinking that but I'd like to do a lot of track days do as think g it might be a bit much? Il try without cus that would be even better lol less crap the better XD

If its for track days then you are definately better without.

Do you need to modify the steering rack if you remove the t pump or just drain the fluid out? I done same to my rx7 was the rack needed welded up first

Just take out the 2 pipes and put 2 bolts in to seal it. Im leaving fluid in mine, better off with some than without.

I did in with a saxo pas pump and it was way to light bordering dangerous

MR2's come with an electric power steer setup - you just need to make sure you run the controller too else it will be way to light and you wont get any feel. They draw quite a bit of current though so you may need to swap to a larger alternator.

I've fitted a saxo pump to mine and it's bang on added a wee switch aswell so I can turn it off should I want some more feel at higher speeds
