GLANZA-MAN
Well folks, this is why you shouldn't let retards who think the know they're stuff have cars! Basically, while he gearbox was off I thought I'd see what clutch it had as i was told when I bought the car it was a spec 6 clutch, but be for taking the clutch plate off I realised there were two missing bolts, oh, they're snapped, were clearly over tightened by previous owner. Also he did not use the spec clutch plate, he used a standard one which has got to hot and pitted like hell! Not useable in my opinion and all he has done is bodged a car together which I now have to sort out even more! Also I thought while I was there I'd tidy up and hide some loom but I didn't get far be for it got dark! Also a picture of her looking sorry for herself! GLANZA-MAN
So today I sorted out the fittings/holes to fit the bumper, got it fitted for the minute so people don't think it's a scrap car, hopefully get it sprayed after Xmas then meshed.
GLANZA-MAN
Front gearbox and engine powerflex mounts cleaned and ready to go on!
GLANZA-MAN
Due to me buying the standard gearbox with no shafts put the build on hold for the moment and the snapped bolts in the flywheel, since then I've done a few upgrades and got hold of some shafts!Due to me having to get a new flywheel, there was only one way I was going , that was light weight. Luckily a mate of mine was selling his at the time which he got from tuning developments and only ran it for a few months, so lucky me!I also said previously I wanted more power, so I purchased this stainless steel wepr TD04 top mount hybrid kit with turbo smart external wastegate! While I was thinking about pulling power, I for got about the stopping power, or did I? I have also purchased a set of willwoods 4 pot brake kit with grooved disc and they are sexy!
GLANZA-MAN
Quick update, got some nice new parts the other day but only just remembered to update this. Finally got my turbo kit after wait a couple of weeks. Here's a few pictures. Also due to needing to take my head off, means new head gasket, so I went for another mls 1.2 gasket. Also while scrolling through the tuning developments page, I realised I need led a boost controller, so I went for GFB G-force ll! GLANZA-MAN
Been a while since I've done any updates here, just been gathering parts and forgetting to update the build.Been a few changes to looks and parts. As I've mentioned be for I had a head issue, so the head was takes off, cleaned up, stripped down and rebuilt by one of the best engineers in Devon (Paul inch) ive now got the head back and it's just waiting for paint! Just got a couple of pictures with the head off waiting for paint! Also got a few performance parts!Sytec adjustable fuel pressure regulator.Tuning developments high flow fuel rail!Uprated inlet with 60mm throttle body and gold pulley. Now there have been changes to to the car, 98 spec front bumper and splitter (uncut), white bonnet and new wheel! The car is filthy but looks clean! Reason for the wheel swap is the old ones wouldn't clear the wilwood calipers but the new ones clear them easily and look good!!!! GLANZA-MAN
From the last time i posted on here, i ran in to a lot of stupid issues, i had two clutches and some how when i put the gearbox back on i stupidly got the pressure plates for the clutches mixed up, so i basically had no gears as the clutch was constatly engaged. So since the i have put a new clutch in and have all the gears etc, while the box was off i decided to pait it to make it fresh again!Few pictures of it on.Also since this i have also fitted a front whiteline anti roll bar and anti lift kit.I also seemed to have an over fueling issue so i upgraded my injectors to yellow rx8 ones instead as the rx7 550cc were to much in my opinion. My mate also bought an glanza s bonnet which i managed to buy off him cause he decided he didnt want it just needs paint! Also i bought off my mate, a set of BC coilovers which took me a while to loosen up and get everything moving!I have also replced all the bleed nipples on the wilwoods as they snapped while trying to bleed them.I am just waiting for my rear whiteling anti roll bar, 98 spec rear lights and a few other bits to turn up. Once march comes, i will be going to my local performance garage to get finished due to no longer having the time to play with it. Please ignore the rusty arms as the will get sprayed once i get the new bushes sorted for them! Thanks for looking.
