Someone tell me about these, they sound like a Chinese turbo lol, are they much different to the stock ct9 ( bigger stronger etc)?

Any info appreciated

Tongs hybrid is a much bigger inlet between stock and these there is not much difference in power if you have the right supporting mods you'd be better off going td04. Tongs aint Chinese lol have a look on google you will find lots of info

Don't suppose any of you guys know if the they got stronger blades? I've managed to kill the ceramic blades on the stock one with all my chattering lol

i think it was the td12 which was external wastegate only.



theres a thread somewhere about the different turbos it might not be on this forum if you google them.

Thats the one! It was still a CT9 frame turbo yeah?

Ran a tongs gt spec ct9 for around a year, alot bigger 55mm inlet with different comp wheel and ported wastegate with bigger wastegate penny.

Ran really well at 15psi pulled hard towards the end of the Rev range where the standard ct9 runs out of puff, spools up relatively the same as a standard ct9.

Tongs hybrid ct9 was one of the best.



Their ct12 was ewg only and had a td04 core or something along the lines of that but still ct9 fitment.
