Dan507
no idea, it's gone to storage for the time being, I've already got my glanza in bits rebuilding the engine (this is my girlfriends one)thats two bottom ends within a month.
AdamB
That's bad news mate, 4.3 psi is the absolute minimum at idle which is like what 850rpm? You'd be very lucky to get away without any damage And people say these engines are reliable huh
Dan507
thats a 1000, its suppose to have 3.5 bar at 3000rpm when warm, its has 2.5 when cold. its a gooner. hasn't started knocking but there was a silly amount of swarf on the sump plug when i dropped the oil. yeah, lol. My old white one never missed a beat and i gave that so much shit, just goes to show its how they've been looked after.

AdamB
Remember we spoke about this once before adam mate toyota recommend 7 psi as a minimum and even we agreed that's bloody low Manual states 4.3 psi after I had a check mate, but doesn't state what rpm, either way anything less than a bar/ 14.5 psi is terrible in my eyes. I think it's 7psi when the oil light starts to come on, which is pretty useless, especially if you have a bit of a leak from a crank seal say, that 7psi could go down to nothing in no time at all. patman
Yep Adam I agree is such a shame to hear this once again with these engines, 4.3psi mate as you know is absolutely nothing this has got to be new shells and a crank reground on the engine above, surely this is down to faulty oil pump?
