scutch0
well after years of dicking around with vauxhalls my best mate finally saw the light and bought himself a jap car, and best of all its made by toyota!its a k reg toyota mr2 2.0 gti16 t-bar. it was previously owned by someone who owned horses so the interior was pure filth. it was an absolute steal for the price he paid for it!yesterday after fitting my actuator i went round and spent the best part of 4 hours cleaning it. its got a few rough patches, but underneath it all i think its a great little car. really nice colour too.the bad bitswashed, paint renovator'd and waxedas you can see its on a spacesaver on the back as one tire had a puncture, but it also needs 4 new tires, and a mot.the downpipe and cat have gone too, but the seller supplied a brand new downpipe and cat, so its just a case of fitting them.Rich. StarletRick
have you ever worked on a 3s engine in an MR2. if you thing the 4e is tight... mate, wait for this, they are CUNTS to work on. also, has that had a frontal? the bumper looks a different colour
scutch0
i must admit i had a look in there to see how the downpipe fits... and it does look fooking tight. we think it has had a knock on the front end at some point, because the front bumper is not dead smooth and does look a slightly different shade. but i think he wants to get a good proportion of it resprayed. scutch0
cheers guys, the first stage of the plan is to get it on the road! it needs 4 new tires (probably looking at getting a different set of wheels) front shock absorber, and the downpipe and cat replacing, after that i think he just wants to get it tidy'd up, i think we might be fitting a momo steering wheel on monday... but we'll see. I was working on the 3sge and gte engines before i got a starlet, so i found the starlet uber easy!Nice mr2!. If you need any parts or services my brother is an mr2 specialist. Have parts from around 6 mr2's at the moment so whatever you need chances are we have it! here is his website. Not finished yet, but here you are. www.pacific-works.co.uk just to say the prices listed are for the 3sgte engine so some might change slightly for the n/ajules
