Dansstarlet1996 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 looking at putting in a lightweight flywheel when my clutch gives up, can a 4EFTE lightened flywheel fit an NA box? and does it need different clutches etc? and can you get a lightened flywheel for the 4EFE engine? Thanks Dan Quote
Starlet__SR Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 4EFTE flywheel will bolt straight on, use a 4EFTE clutch as its 212mm as opposed to the 200mm N/A flywheel. Make sure you put some new flywheel bolts on too. Day Quote
Walker96 Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Mine fitted fine just need a 4efte clutch also had to cut the metal plate the bit that sticks out was catching on flywheel had to take it all back apart again so would do it just in case. You'll see it only bit that sticks up lol Quote
gorganl2000 Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 just a question,,,would there be a noticeable difference in weight between the 4efe oem/smaller flywheel vs the 4efte larger lightweight flywheel? Quote
5e colin Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 (edited) yes big difference in weight 3 kilo 4efe and 4efte flywheels are the same size its only the clutch mounting dowels are in a diferent spot for larger pressure plate Edited January 22, 2016 by 5e colin Quote
Walker96 Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 just a question,,,would there be a noticeable difference in weight between the 4efe oem/smaller flywheel vs the 4efte larger lightweight flywheel? I noticed a good difference with mine only weights 3.9kg totally worth it in my opinion. Quote
gorganl2000 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 thanks for the clarity 5e colin and walker96 Quote
