Think it's a starlet thing mate, mines the same, I'm a perfectionist but with my starlet I've begun to let go on nip picking, she's 15 years old, never once skipped a beat. The odd squeal from belts still pulls all her 75bhp

Thanks guys love this!

Was wondering if this idea could be made official..... Like our UKSO logo sticker brilliantly produced by stick 2 it, Could we not have an official design for a Paul walker tribute designed around our logo?... I'm no sticker person on cars even though I'm a JDM guy, so perhaps a corner window sticker design ?? Whatcha think guys?

Hi mate, this is deff a crank pulley issue. My theory....... Yes like you i drive my car pretty hard. Always let it warm up first, oil changed by miles or by darkness, fluid levels all correct including when warm. when i first had the car! sweet as a nut, and pratting about i was near 5.000rpm about to change into 5th, like a dick i thought i was in second.... (dont ask why)..... I thought i had a GTR doing 80 in second haha! i missed shifted into 3rd, a horrible noise came as though a belt was slipping as the engine over rev'd its bolox off the clock, i dipped my clutch strait away and slowed down. drove normal. Car was fine. she fired up fine and still pulled like a nippy starlet should! however i noticed in the engine bay my crank pulley was wobbling slightly. for fact i knew it was from what i mentioned earlier. now i still drive around with this slight wobbling. Im yet to fix this but when i do this sqeeling when pulling off should go. Ill let you know if not! chris

Well guys where do i start. Firstly I would like to thank Rob Ebbs (Rbz). For all the help and support and all the midnight lovers afair of talking about them, one day i hope to have your glanza in my rear view mirror mate ;) and Daniel Hart who is not a member on this forum but VXRONLINE and is a proud owner of his Astra VXR. He was the key that brought me towards the car! If it wasnt for him i wouldnt be driving it today! Thanks for the lift Dan! My Story It all started 8 years ago when my brother brought home a Toyota Starlet SR In moonstone Silver. S582 GBF was the reg. We have no photos as it was tiiimmmmeee ago. But as an 11 year old boy I wanted one. Today 8 years later after none stop talking about them i have brought a black standard SR!! £1550 got me ...... -S970 UDX -1 lady owner -65,000 miles -Full History 13 stamps from new. It has been serviced at a toyota dealership twice and was serviced at croydon motor company other times. It even has some toyota dealership service money off vouchers! -Full Spare speedline wheel - 3 Keys!!! Bad points. - Few scuffs and dents. (All minor and repairible which will be done at a later date) -Wheels are battered!! but reparable! -Pea shooter exhaust........ Myther to get the TTE one back on I HATED THE PEE SHOOTER EXHAUST! Dans sexy VXR ^^^^ A few weeks later I then sourced an origional TTE Remus backbox of a Yaris. It was in a poor pitted condition but abit of elbow grease and metal polish got it sorted. The guy sold it me for £20! QUIDS IN!! I took it to my local powerflow exhaust systems garage and he did a few modifications to the exhaust brakets. For people who are thinking about fitting one from a yaris THEY DO FIT! however you must see a specialist or an aluminium welder. Modifications to Exhaust needed: - Silencer and rear pipe was chopped so an extention could be made. ( otherwise the exhaust would sit flush to the bumper and not show the TTE badge...... which is why you have one to show it off right ;) ???) - Front bracket chopped nearest to chrome tip muffler. (without this mod, the bracket would catch on the bumper and not allow it to fit at all) - Like some exhausts.... The rubber bracket to keep it held on. It does move as its only rubber but dont be disheartend as its quite a firm rubber mount... you can move your muffler like 5 cm and it would stay in the same place. Pic of it being done...... Now.... My finnished Standard SR with the standard TTE Muffler. (That was a fucking bitch to find!) Mods done to date.... - Pioneer Head unit. - White HID's Dont like blue Mods in the future...... - Speakers + space saving sub. - Wind deflectors, -Clear indicators, -Clear repeators, -Privacy glass, -UKSO forum sticker in rear quater window. -TRD badge somewhere.... havent decided where :/ Hope the photos have come up ok.... I know the cars a little dirty on some ENJOY Chris Caci

Hi guys, I'm sure theres much debate on which is "the best" product(s) for cleaning your car however id like to ask you inparticular and everybody else on what you would recomend for getting my car spotless and a mirror finnish. Now I mean that much of a mirror finnish that even sperm wouldnt stick to the car! jokes My starlet is 205 metalic black, I was wondering if some brands are better with certain paint colours? The reason i ask this is because i have noticed turtle wax are selling products to specific colour tones. I am about to place an order for > http://www.cleanstor...duct.asp?ID=999 Here go the questions.... - Which is the best snow foam? - Would an expensive snow foam lance make a difference to a cheap one? - Lambs skin mitts vs microfibre mitts? - Whats the difference between Carnauba wax, Clays and gloss enhancers? - Paint Detailers? Sorry for the nooooooby questions to cleaning. Cheeres chris.

after the japfest, whos staying in a travel lodge? plus where is the nearest? Also. My friend will be driving down with me however he hasnt got a starlet. Infact he has an astra vxr. Is it a strictly starlet convoy or can he tag along? It would make things alot easier as he will be staying in a travel lodge with me and a few others. He is purchasing his tickets on the day and understands that there will be a different entrance for visitors to club stands. Tahh chris.
