  2. All sorted thanks
  3. I broke my scissor jack using my rattle gun to operate it (oops) so I'm in need of a replacement. Has anyone got one for sale?
  4. Well I finally got round to doing the brake service id had the bits for for ages. 4 discs, rear bearings, all pads and braided lines. It's taken me 2 days to do for a number of reasons. Firstly because they haven't been apart since the car left japan. Secondly because the weather has been pants. Some interesting discoveries were made. The rear bearings had been packed with grease reasonably recently, but were loose. Like falling off loose. The inner grease was black and there was brown shit on the bearings. My guess is the garage that imported it fudged them together to just about pass it's first mot. I'm surprised they hadn't failed, although the noise was getting a little obscene. Then there was the start of the rear brakes. The sliders were blue. The metal must have got ridiculously hot, as the metal had heat reacted. The pads were glazed too. I guess they had been seized on for a while. Something I didn't realise is that the OEM Toyota brake disc and bearing kit ( the one idworkz sell) doesn't come with a split pin or grease seal. I had to very carefully remove the old seal from the discs to reuse. A mate brought some new split pins however. Whilst the calipers and carriers were off I painted them too. When it's daylight I'll get some pics, but I went with silver to keep them reasonably OEM looking. Front brakes were much easier to do, as no need to remove bearings to get discs out. Bled with some super dot 4 fluid ( the old stuff was brown) the brakes certainly feel firmer, but got to wear them in before I can test them for real. Just got to wait for a window motor to appear from socks to replace my broken drivers one, and then in the summer the car is ready for a new manifold and EBC. If needs be I'll add some harsher brake pads too once I've bedded the discs in with the standard ones.
  5. Stick a battery across the motor buddy
  6. Could you whack 12v across it to make sure it's still good bud?
  7. Hey all, Anyone got a working window motor they wouldn't mind selling for an ep91. My drivers window no longer opens Cheers

  10. There you go sport Mines a Thule kit, but scutch0 got a Mont Blanc from an Audi to fit.
  11. Ask scutch0 on here. He has an NA supra
  12. Has anyone else noticed the poor standards of adverts for cars that are around these days? You know the score. All the words are cramed into one sentence because the car is mint pulls like a train because new service and total mint the car owes me £3000 so it's yo for £7000 now but I'm open to offers swap for saxon wink wink nudge lol. It's like jeez, learn some fucking punctuation. There is this new invention called the paragraph too. /rant
  13. Rears are Osram the fronts are Phillips Thanks
  14. Evening all. I've been driving the glanza for a while now, and I've got a bit of a height issue. I'm 6"3, which isn't the tallest, but I've got quite long legs relative to my body. My glanza has got the standard 98 spec wheel and celica seats, but it's not quite right in terms of driving position. For instance, I can't lift my right leg enough to heel and toe properly. I end up braking side on which limits how hard I can press too. I was considering a new wheel such as an omp Corsica which is dished, but wanted to hear other members solutions. Cheers
  15. When I first bought my V (which is white as well) the paintwork was as flat as anything. I've got a DA so used that to bring the paintwork up. What I didn't realise was that the paint is so thin and soft, it doesn't take much to go all the way through. Don't get anything too abrasive like T cut. Chemical guys white diamond glaze is nice, slightly abrasive with some fillers and it polishes to a shine. Shampoo wise, anything decent with no detergent in it, otherwise it strips any wax you put on. So no Halfords 1.99 special! Wash and wax shampoos are ok, I find the wax part just means it dries a little easier with smears. I've got dodo juice born to mild. It'd stupidly concentrated so you only need a drop for a whole car, and it leaves the wax alone. My advice is to stay away from yellow waxes ( ones with high carnauba) as these tend to stain the paint yellow. Friend of my has a white supra and he used meguiars carnauba. It turned his car almost cream over time.
  16. Stickers came from eBay. Guy from Taiwan does sheets of "jdm stickers" their individual which makes it a bit easier. The V had been suffering from a boost leak the last few weeks. Really laggy and only hittin 0.7bar Turned out to be the hot pipe Can you see the hole? It was a little gouged when I got it, but yep that's a hole. Was rubbing on the air con pipe. Slacked off one of the air con brackets, and sleeved the pipe Good as new
  17. "I hate cars with roof racks. That looks rubbish, doesn't suit a glanza etc etc" He goes out for one trip cycling with my car with the rack on and next thing I know he's gone euro ha. I hope a trend hasn't been started...
  18. Bump due to reorganised stuff and repaired ARC.
