So was checking the codes because the cel came on sometimes recently. Got two codes; 34 and 42. Does code 34 mean I need another map sensor I take it? Also I don't have a scooby about 42... Apparently to do with reading speed? Can anyone shed some light on this?

Yeh I did that with the oil filter. I'll have a look tomorrow then.

Removed sump last week, sealed it up, no oil was leaking after resealing and test driving. Changed the oil filter then I started seeing after a little drive, oil leaking. I inspected it and it is quite oily just below the oil filter on the engine where the sump connects and also where the sump meets the crank area. Should I reseal the sump or does anyone think it could be something else? It only started after doing the sump and oil filter. The sump when I took it off had quite a lot of sealer on it around the area I am describing. I don't know if I may have disturbed anything? Cheers

I've put my vf10 back on for now which is very similar to a td04 power wise and it just doesn't compare with the 28. On the right setup I reckon you'd be at over 300bhp. That's a guess though. Same turbo as the vf24 but I can't remember if the actuator is updated or wastegate larger. I can't remember though.

My engine isn't forged and I was running just 1 bar with an ebc and the power is ridiculous. I didn't have my car mapped either but with the ebc it was 4k I was hitting full boost so with a good remap I reckon it would be a lot less. Tempted to keep it but I'm just not sure at the minute.

Item For Sale: VF28 Turbo Item Condition & Description: Started making a strange noise when shutting engine down. Boosts fine but does feel slightly laggy as I think the bearings are not right, however turbo does not have play in the shaft. Comes already rotated with actuator. Could be a real bargain for someone but I have just bought a TD04 now to go on. The turbo will be taken off the car once the td04 arrives and is on. Pictures were only taken a few weeks ago also. Right I'm thinking about buying external wastegate and wondering what spring I should be using i.e. for boost pressure. I've got a new greddy profec oled boost controller and wanting to be running roughly 1 bar of boost with my vf28 turbo. What spring would anyone recommend that I use? Cheers.

Yeh seen them. Not keen on the price though. Just gonna wrap them in yellow film anyway so I'm not too fussed in the condition. Just don't want ones that are all cracked, however.

Nice one, when abouts? Not in a rush but one of mines fell off on the motorway lol so running around with no fogs the now.

Have youse blocked it off then? I have disconnected the plug to my icv valve also but wondering what you have used to block it off?
