  1. I’m with you about a UK car with UK plates. As the SR was thought up and produced in the UK I think they look right on it. I get people’s dilemma about the ambers and both look good but for me on the black SR’s the ambers just really set it off. I guess it’d be boring if they all lookEd the same but so few are left Looking standard nowadays.
  2. Cracking work with the gearbox mate will be spot on when it’s on the car with the 5e bits
  3. Item For Sale: Set of four 15 inch multi-spoke wheels - 15x6.5J ET35 with 195/45/R15 78V Tyres (plenty of life left in them). Wheels are straight and have no structural damage, could just do with a refurb to tidy them up. Can't see a make on them. Item Condition & Description: Used, ideal for track/winter wheels. Price: £110 (Paypal or cash on collection). Location: Can be collected from Aslockton near Nottingham on weekends or Abingdon on week days.
  4. He’s a whipper snapper 🤣🤣 max power went under years ago unfortunately, I did enjoy the ‘babe of the cruise’ Section!
  5. Thought I was making good progress until I went to see how my mate was getting on with his four-track. He bought it with a fresh MOT, started digging in to it and erm, the chassis needed a completed restoration as does most of the body which turned out to be structural. How the hell it passed an MOT I’ll never know!
  6. Forgot to mention, I never knew there were already two threaded holes for the lower half rad bracket, was chuffed to bits. Just re-cut the thread to avoid any issues. The top mount doesn’t sit low enough on the radiator for my liking to I just put a washer in the recess then fitted the mount over the top. Keeps it nice and level and gives it much more purchase on the radiator
  7. So the fan is still on permanently. Due to this, I decided to Take the rad back off (hadn’t filled the coolant system up anyway) strip, clean and paint where the lower rad bracket mounts to and underneath the battery mount.
  8. Because the one I got is green and the plug doesn’t give the convincing ‘clip’ noise I’m after, I can just pull it off with minimal effort. the pic shows a comparison
  9. But then I hit a snag. It looks like I’ve either ordered the wrong sensor, am looking at the wrong one or have been sent the wrong one. is this the fan switch sensor thingy?
  10. I got the rad mounted today and the filter relocation all trimmed so that it doesn’t fowl anything. I know the metal pipe is long but I’ll trim that when I find a filter
  11. That means Uk plates and ambers back on too 😎
  12. You know what my thoughts will be on the wheels mate 🤣 leave the bloody outside alone!!

  14. Agreed mate, it was v quiet for a while but feel it’s on the up
  15. 🤣 me neither but I’ll just cut them off. I need to re-finish the mating surfaces as there’s old gasket and corrosion. me and a friend were trying to work out the purpose of the downpipe design, maybe to help prevent boost creep 🤔 Anyway, even with all the quirkiness it looks well put together and I’m looking forward to getting it on.
  16. That FMIC is a quality bit of kit. Deans work is second to none
  17. 3rd runner seems a bit restrictive but it’s nothing my dremel can’t fix
  18. Which brings me on to a total punt I’ve made on a turbo kit. I knew the ct9 was already goosed but that’s fine. Not sure of the brand- looks like a custom job to me but it’s pretty good quality to be honest and no repairs or cracks from what I can see. Never seen a downpipe design like this for a starlet before. It’s a miracle it made it here in one piece as it was wrapped in 3 old car mats and some parcel tape! Why the seller didn’t put it in a box I’ll never know but no harm done I guess.
  19. Also got some DEI metal protector in black, just helps prevent surface corrosion for the new turbo kit. Had good results with this on my gt4. The cool tape will be used on some of the FMIC pipework
  20. Just need a filter now, I’m on the look out for a Blitz SUS as they sound brilliant
  21. Got home today and opened all my presents. Air filter relocation kit: Not from a company, just measured the bits up and ordered the two parts, fingers crossed it all fits.
