sorry mate i was using my mobile and it didn't show me where you were! as you've seen i've pm'd
-
Where are you mate?
-
DEAL! Your build thread and vids have been great mate. Should've bought it when i had the chance ha ha
-
Fantastic little car mate shouldn't be hard to sell, really nice
-
Ha ha I certainly do! It's a credit to you mate. Got my old gt4 sat at work with a blown engine looking after it for the guy who bought it from me and pondering weather it's worth buying back and dumping another 5k into the engine
Well if you have another change of heart Taggy and if you decide you don't want it Jordan then let me know
-
Hi Taggy how are you? Is the boxy still for sale? Tried PM'ing but won't let me.
Thanks
Jase

Does anyone know approx how many sr there are left ?
365 but how many of them actually look like SR's anymore?
Matty: might see you around sometime as im only in Heckington
-
Rant: me with my big mouth saying that Shaun's ep95 was too expensive and now it's only 2500 but i've now got another project taking up the storage space over the winter 2500 seems a decent price to me.
-
Crikey never seen anything like this!
-
Im with you on this lol.
Im more annoyed that uk spec cars only have them in the back.
The same With why didnt uk cars get some options that the jdm ones had. Ie
Power mirrors
Cup holders
Leather steering wheels
Dark grey trim
98 spec interior
Arm rest
I mean theyre all Built in Japan, so surely it couldn. Have been that hard to spec them with that stuff?
I mean who sat in an SR before putting it on sale and said, hmmm this interior, its rather sporty isn't, who ever it was needed A slap!
Ah my god the sr interior is pure rats! Completely agree, it's the worst interior ever! The 335d i test drove comes a close 2nd though with half yellow/black and walnut. Oh and a 14 grand price tag!

ah yeh was going to mention him but couldnt remember his name, was a druggy waster lol who pissed it all up the wall. probs had a lot of fun doing it but not the way id do it lol
-
ha ha well they are nice cars but not my thing either. now if it was an f40 with hybridised turbos and uprated intercoolers then i'd be interested I think most of us prefer putting our stamp on a car and not just buying something and posing around. Before me and my lass got together she thought i liked to drive around and pose in the gt4 but once she came in the car she realises i just like driving and if a race pops up then even better
-
Oh yeh dont get me wrong i'm all about the under dogs and sleepers. For me though, once you've spent a shit load of money that adds up to more than the car that you're racing is worth then it loses a bit of the charm for me really. it's still funny to see any car that people have already decided will lose, then go on to smash 'the better car' though. Toned down Starlets are up there with the best of the sleepers in my opinion but to be honest most people know that a decently tuned glanza or gt can do nowadays so i dont think they massively suprise people in the know anymore. Still fun against the supercar snobs though!
Next rant: Lottery winners...Why are the winners always boring as shit bla bla bla. Why cant a car nut win the jackpot and go nuts with something and i mean non supercar. Or fund their own btcc team!
-
Similar thing to you ollie but: Magazines or in car adverts where it says 'evo' killer or 'scooby' slayer! But in reality (and this goes for all potentially modded cars) - it depends what the bloody thing is running that you're racing! comments like that wind me up as they are basically saying the car in question can beat any evo/scooby or whatever that's on the road! Redline mag was the worst for this lol but i did think that mag was actually pretty good for testing mods etc.
oh and wank street racing vids on youtube that look like they've been filmed with calculators and hurrendous naff quality sound.

Thanks, pm'd
-
This is what I'm talking about, this is how they should be! Where abouts are you in Derbyshire?
Thanks
Jase

And just out of interest, are you still able to get hold of 4paws through your friend?
-
V v impressed buddy excellent work
-
kind of has changed to a 4paw disc but it's far more interesting. On the subject of engine swaps etc- is it just the same conversion into an N/A? You'll have to get some pics up of yours Shorty
-
Yeh definatly, I appreciate that. With 300 in yours I'm sure you'd pull on the straights for sure. I mean I put the celica on a diet but nothing mental, think it was near on 80kg lighter-the back seats are basically just cussions lol. I think if I get it back ill probs go mad with it tbh and it might not see the road or track for a while. But it's the thought of spending so much money on it- it needs around 6k funnily enough as it's been sat outside the lads house for two years bought it standard and built it up from there so a lot of time effort and money in it not to mention love.
I'm an absolute electrics mong- I know the obv basics but the though of rewiring/ swapping looms is a bit daunting. Is it as bad as I'm thinking?
-
ha ha as i've said shorty if i get my hands back on my old one then i'm up for a gentlemans challenge. would be great to see what the 95 could take. good tht you've got a spare, guess that relieves a bit of the worry with breaking it. Would love to drive a well sorted 95 with around 250-260 and see how it compares to other things i've driven/owned as quite rightly people have pointed out that i havn't driven one. The gt4 set up is ok standard but just swapping the srings and rear ARB help massively and i dont think i've driven anything that comes close for the feedback it gives you along with massive cornering ability and rawness. However, if something goes wrong with the running gear or suspension it's big money!
Obv the power to weight situation will help the little starlet Although saying that i raced a mates glanza that was dynod at roughly 240 while mine was running roughly 400 and was pulling away from him with ease. we worked out the p2w ratio and it was roughly the same so all i can think is that my torque made the difference although i thought i'd lose some wheel hp through the 4wd system. Then again it could be gearing and how well the cars were mapped. we didn't go into great depths about it though so not sure where his useable power was coming in etc etc there are so many factors aren't there.
-
Ah ok Paul fair play if it was a good friend of mine on top of something i believe in then I'd feel the need to back them up to really to be honest. I'm pleased we've all calmed down a bit. Maybe I havnt been choosing the best words so far lol. How close is the sr to being back on the road?
Morgey has a point though and I too would like to see the 4wd system developed further. the problem is that because of their rarity i doubt many people are going to want to chance a bit of experimenting. Independent rear suspension on these would be a game changer too i suspect. As im sure we've all seen though if you have deep pockets then anything is possible.
PLEASE DELETE!!
