  1. The motec system was amazing, that's probably why I rate stand alone ecu's so much. Absolutely loved that car and it's sat on a drive 3 miles away from where I'm based thanks for all nice nice comments everyone, I'm thinking the celica is everyone's fave aswell as mine
  2. Rob: Yeh was about two years ago, proper regret selling it love you glanza mate espec for the obvious colour scheme! Yaristurbo: hmm doesn't ring a bell mate, does he know the car?
  3. * Thought i'd reply on here Matt as I felt a bit bad about talking on the other add! Ha ha it is nearer what my budget will allow but then the ECU isn't included at that stage
  4. Ha ha you wouldn't be trying to poach a sale there would you?
  5. Absolutely lovely car mate just what im after but out of my price range
  6. Oh and thought i'd add in that my mate had a GT4 the same time as me, was running almost identical mods but he had a front mount and i was still running the top mount charge cooler. We were both running the Motec system and his headline figure was around 15bhp more than mine so we had a play and he was nowhere near. Show's that there are muppets out there who claim they can map but you end up getting ripped off even when buying a £900 unit!
  7. Stand alones are expensive i totally agree but i'm a big believer in getting everything mapped in correctly. Changing pretty much anything on a turbo'd car such as the induction, exhaust, ignition or fueling without it being set up properly is asking for trouble. Not only are there power and torque gains but it's how all of the mods tie together and how it delivers the power and torque. You could be running a higher headline performance figure than someone whos using a stand alone but they would be making peak performance lower down the rev range making them much faster in the real world. I h
  8. I was on my way to look at a local glanza and spotted you but you didn't see me waving like a mad man and then I realised I was In my auris not a starlet so was kind of glad you didn't see me ha ha!
  9. why are you so far away from me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Ha ha I can't he won't sell it back to me and I just can't convince my lass as she is saving really hard for the house so abit unfair if I spunk a load of cash all over the celica. And I know I would, it'd be nut and bolt rebuilt from the ground up if I got my hands back on it, too dangerous as I've already spent 20k in my head on what I'd do ha ha.
  11. Thought i'd put the spec list up for the Celica.... 12. Cheers mate was an animal. The Scooby was nice but £445 tax compared to 210 for the celica!
  13. So here's the Auris. Might not be everyone's cup of tea but I've got to say that it is lovely on long trips which most of mine are. Just not quite quick enough for me but has embarrassed a few cars it maybe shouldn't have while pulling 38mpg on the highest tune setting. http://s816.photobucket.com/user/plod09/media/image.jpg.html'> http://s816.photobucket.com/user/plod09/media/image-1.jpg.html'> http://s816.photobucket.com/user/plod09/media/image-2.jpg.html'> http://s816.photobucket.com/user/plod09/media/image-3.jpg.html'>
  14. Thanks guys, the GT4 was and always will be the one that got away. I sold it from my home in Lincolnshire while based in York. Then moved camps to north Yorkshire and it's sat broken on the lads drive 4 miles up the road!! absolute torture! he hasn't been able to get it back on the road for two years because he became injured at work but tells me it'll be back soon! I want it back but just can't convince my other half or the owner to sell!
  15. I'm currently driving an Auris SR180 with a tunit box on running around the 200 mark with 360lbsft so it's fairly naughty but very comfy. Doesn't handle that great but it is a heavy car. Struggling to upload pics of this one at the mo so will do soon. It's currently sat on some BTCC edition team dynamic pro races with optional Toyota motorsport front lip. It will be up for sale soon as i'm on the hunt for a glanza and sr aswell as a five door for the usual reasons. Part of the deal of me selling the Auris is me being able to have a Starlet so that's why im on here Any spec lists or more pics
  16. Now it's time for the Scooby and know what you're thinking but i was after something a little different. I heard of a version called a GB270 in wagon form and only 100 were ever made so i found one near me and went to view it. It'd only done 19k and was absolutly spottless. And as i looked at the plaque i couldn't believe my eyes as it was number 1 so snapped it up. http://s816.photobucket.com/user/plod09/media/002.jpg.html'> http://s816.photobucket.com/user/plod09/media/024.jpg.html'> http://s816.photobucket.com/user/plod09/media/IMG_8089.jpg.html'>
  17. While the Celica was getting treated to my bank balance I stumbled across this Corolla TTE for a steal so used it as my daily driver and had the GT4 as a weekend car. It was a bit ropey when I found it but I managed to clean it up nicely and found the original TTE badge along with vent decals. Also handled very well but the ride on the TTE springs was awful. http://s816.photobucket.com/user/plod09/media/00211.jpg.html'> http://s816.photobucket.com/user/plod09/media/003.jpg.html'> http://s816.photobucket.com/user/plod09/media/005.jpg.html'>
  18. I'm 'a bit' Toyota mad so I thought i'd show a few of my old cars including one special Scooby (sorry!). So here's where it all began with a lovely white starlet sr! (kind of ironic as i'm trying to come full circle now). Then followed the mr2 GTI-16. Lovely to drive but just a bit of a dodgy colour I guess and back then 'stancing' didn't really exist ha ha. Next up was the love affair outlasting 4 girlfriends and eating an Afganistan tour pay packet . After having a ride in a mates FQ320 I decided turbo power had to be the way. There were far too many Scoobies and Evos k
  19. Hi all, I just want to upload some pics from my laptop, am I missing something here as I can't work this out thanks
  20. Ha ha love a good rant but to be honest this OC is pretty good. Pretty impressed with the amount of decent answers and info i get back from people on here, most seem really friendly and helpful. Coming from the GT4OC and ScoobyOC where there are many pumpers and endless amounts of useless replies from people wanting their 50p's worth!
  21. thanks for the help guys v friendly on here with decent answers to questions
  22. how do you tell if an glanza is an LSD model?
