My plan is to not do that much work to the engine. Just tidy it all up bodywork etc, put it on some nice wheels and enjoy the grip! Just bought a house so kidding myself that my expensive modding days are over for the time being
Its not massively high powered, its within what most owners see as the daily reliable limit.Read about the drivetrain issues which seem more prominent above 350bhp. Havent asked the guy but may be hes on the pulsar stand!
Sounds good. Cheers for the layout jimmymac, will both be looking round each others cars at japfest and take them both for a drive after i guess. Its quite similar to a glanza is all im saying ;)
Basically have been offered a swap for my glanza and considering doing the trade a Japfest 2. Has anyone swapped a car directly before? Anything to be careful of such as writing out receipts to prove who know owns the car etc. Or something that should be avoided all together.
on mine i have vac hose from turbo to bottom wastegate port teed off to the nc port on the solenoid. then the com port on the solenoid to the top of the wastegate. Pretty sure its plumbed in spot on but mine doesnt seem to raise boost
Ill be meeting my mates (two evos) at tesco (right by m5 north junction at 5.30). So imagine will be coming on to the m5 at junction 11a about 5.40ish. James89 let me know if you want to meet us at the tesco and can give you a post code? Its right next to the m5 junctions.
when i start the car the solenoid clicks etc to suggest its working. Read online its worth checking the voltage at the solenoid to ensure wiring is correct?
Yup all connections cable tied, dont suspect any leaks. Only thing i can think is the vac hose to the top of the wastegate is too small and restrictive/leaking which isnt allowing the controller to hold the gate shut
Thats the one. I have vac hose from turbo nipple with a t piece. So it goes from compressor housing to bottom wastegate port teed off to the nc fitting. Then from com fitting to top of wastegate. As im getting apring pressure im Guessing my issue is from the com fitting onwards? Possibly too small hose?
I thought you always run a lower spring and use a boost controller to increase it?? I thought the top port of the wastegate uses boost to keep the wastegate closed
Fitted my greddy profec spec 2 today and nothing i change seems to boost above spring pressure. Running a tial ext gate. Currently have vac line from turbo nipple to bottom port on wastegate teed off to NC on the solenoid. Then have comp going from the solenoid to top port of wastegate.this correct?
