Thought as much, know of anywhere I can get a head and gasket without paying the earth?

So I've had a blow for the last 2 months and was inspecting to see what is was, turned out to be the head and bolt snapped off on the 4th stud this happened to anyone else? Do you just have to replace the head?and gasket etc?

It's when I get out of the car you as soon as I stick my head out you can smell its running rich. The engine is pretty much standard I'm sure I have a cracked standard manifold or something I have a weird squeaking noise when boost starts building when it's cold. Nothing has been fitted recently it's been like it since I have owned it and all sensors appear to there and plugged in. I have a low idle and some times it's really jerky and from idle if I rev it and let off the revs drop to the point where it almost cuts out

That's a long run, doing 60mph I don't know to be honest how do I check it with a multimeter?

Yes standard ecu, no fuelling mods standard fuel pump injectors etc etc, as for a leak I have checked over the pipes to be on the safe side they all seem to in good condition

Also forgot to mention when you get out of the car you can smell it running rich

That really doesn't seem right to me this is driving like a mad man I really don't have a lead foot! Anything suggestions? I have a pretty much standard car but when I do go on boost I can watch the fuel needle drop.

Going to try and tackle this Thursday then I have a full day to get angry at it. I would rather not split it but there is just no room to get in! I might have to borrow a heat gun. Also this may sound odd but has anyone every tried using coca cola instead of WD I have read that the acidity of it can help when it's soaked for a while?

Got a new mani and decat to fit but from the looks of it the exhaust manifold has not been removed like ever so it's been a bit of a bastard to get off, I have soaked them in WD over night tried it when it's warm, cold etc etc. What is the best way of freeing them without cracking the head? also how do people get the 2 central nuts and the two at the bottom? they seem awkward to get at!

Will do, it appears to only do it when the engine is cold you can feel the car jerking and will not rev over 2500 rpm regardless of throttle position. When it's warm it appears to be fine boosting and revving fine

Keeps doing this and it's annoying some times it's one other times its not! Just got home from a 100 mile trip and let the car stand went to drive home and its running very rough revs to 2500rpm but then hits fuel cut I am running low boost. When I come to a stand still the revs drop to 1k then 800 then to around 500 it still runs but only just I have to rev it to keep it going! It's only done this twice apart from that its spot on, any ideas?
