  1. It’s a Cat B, even with the insurance I’m 2 grand out of pocket, can’t afford to buy another, so looks like after 11 years I’m finally done. but who knows, I may be back again, so I’ll just say farewell for now.
  2. Turned out to be the lambda sensor, new one fixed it, but then two weeks later the worst thing happened. She’s been wrote off by an idiot.
  3. The fuel usage and smell seems like it may be running rich 😩 back to the drawing board, any advice is welcome.

  5. It was it’s 26th birthday today, got it cleaned, loving driving it properly. yeah, the forum is kind of dead these days.
  6. Turns out it was 3 years 😅 it’s took me 3 years to get it safely road worthy, but the tracking is now done, and she’s so smooth to drive, and the fact the brakes now work properly since yesterday, I’m so happy right now, first time I’ve drove it working as it should. can I now classify it as not a project for the next few months? 🤔
  7. Well it’s been a slow two years, but all the belts are done, spark plugs, lower suspension arms, track rod ends, ball joints, new callipers, disks and pads, just need the tracking done and she’s road worthy, then it’ll be onto the tuning. was shocked how seized up many of the bolts were. Got the Corolla intake manifold on, trying to clean up the 5efhe injectors, the throttle body sadly was a no go, so on sourcing the same type I used in the past, but hoping to get round to measuring up and fitting the exhaust system over the next few weeks, and need to look into what piggyback ecu
  8. Full system including cat, just needs measuring up and welding, reluctant to sell but the cossie livs has finally hit me. Looking for £250 Ono.
  9. Someone must have one.

    Anyone still do these?
  11. I realised in 2021 when I went to JAE and saw 1 starlet 😂 was nice to see a few turn out for JapFest though.

    Car events.

I'll be at japfest, didn't think anyone would be going, never seems to be any activity here anymore in regards to events. Seems to of died a bit over the years.
  15. Didn't know anyone was attending this year, I'll drop by.

    Car events.

Went to JAE, and saw 1 starlet 🤣 was a good event, but there was barely anyone there. Anyone else noticed a big reduction in people attending events?
  17. Must say, that's the sexiest model I've ever seen. Didn't know they were a thing. And amazing work on the clean, looks show ready.
  18. Only seen one in the last 2 year, was on eBay second hand, very hard to come by.
  19. Well today's a bit of a productive day, took the day off work to get a head start as busy most of the weekend, most of the way through installing noise reduction insulation, and two packages turned up, intake mani and throttle body 😁
  20. Yeah I know what you're talking about, but the high lift cam is from the acis version of the 5efhe engine is what I was saying. But high lift only really works at high revs and benefits bhp, I'm aiming for a nice torque curve, and don't want to increase the rev limit.
  21. Yeah it looks the nuts, unsure how hard it'll be to fit yet. The 5efhe acis intake is the best one, but want to see how it dynos without first, see if I can warrant hunting one down. Thanks though.
  22. Well, got a 5efhe full exhaust system, wasn't expecting the back box and tail pipe to be so big, 5efhe injectors, and a couple lightened pulleys. Just need to wait for the other parts to turn up, but probably won't get everything cleaned up and put on for a couple months. But it's a start, struggled so much to source these parts, used to be an easy task, now it's near impossible.
