cheers tag ive been well happy today i know! what an absolute eeeediot! lol i think my rad was blocked aswell so gave that a good clean out and works tip top, rear coilovers (think asain guy i got it off sold em :/ ) clutch and short shifter next.... then tdo4 time glynis has done a piddle LOL^ -

swapped the thermostat lol................. there wasn't one in there?!? any ideas why last owner would leave it out? runs a treat now oil change tmra hopefully get my hks oil filter in the post early morning -

cheers jay im doing it today now, ill make sure I unclog the rad proper, I have a civic b18 c rad single core one spare wondering whether to put it on ready for the tdo4 or should I save up for a dual core any ideas zeld? yeah my stats are healthy its worth doing it only cost me 20 quid for the comp test aswell, happy with the result so I will go forth and tune haha -

been and got the compression test done got top results so not head gasket cylinder 1= 165 2=170 3=165 4=170 thermostats arrived so going to do that tomorrow cheers lads I thought the worst! -

oh shizzy! do you recommend not driving it tag? and has yours done same thing and it was head gasket? im going to tootle to the garage tomorrow find out for deffo if it is or not fingers crossed....... its not that hard a job though head-gasket and at least id know it was done then -

nice1 gainz its getting compression tested tomorrow (been wanting to do one before I tdo4 anyway) and might aswell stick mot emissions reader in radiator see if anything comes up - apparently this is the cheapest and easiest way to find out if your head gaskets gone. -

yeah might aswell for what its worth the fan still kicks in pal. is the thermostat sticking a common fault on these? -
not sure if this the right section to post in but having a problem with cooling. I Set off to pick my mate up from work today ( about a 15 minute drive ) after 10 minutes of driving (normal) noticed a bit of steam coming out of my bonnet scoop. I thought nothing of it at first as i'd just washed it n thought maybe a bit of water had gone on my manifold or engine, maybe 1-2mins later noticed more steam + my temp gauge was right at the top! pulled over immediately onto somebodys driveway and turned it off, opened the bonnet and my coolant bottle was shaking violently spitting boiling water e

yeah im hoping to be happy around the 220bhp mark, tdo4 on a bar should be entertaining enough Exedy stage 1 it is ....just got to find the cheapest supplier now thanks aidan

cheers for the info idrees :hi:how much is decent standard -fte clutch cover and bearing or would I have to buy full kit? seen a fast road organic helix plate on its own I want.

'is the exedy (standard replacement) ep91 non turbo and the ep91 turbo clutch housing the same part? I just want the housing and bearing as going to put a fast road helix plate in(will I need the fast road housing aswell or will it be ok?). or should I just go for the exedy stage 1 organic? whats best value fast road clutch going? any help much appreciated

I also need new brakes just going to do pads for now with a service. is the Levin caliper conversion a straight fit or would you need the discs aswell?

cheers I need a better set up definatly don't the race pads squeak? Its a 96 glanza not sure if its abs or not if this matters, so I get wms discs and decent pads sorted?
