Geo, it is the same car but this is prior to being beige. Note how the dimples behind the sidestrips are smoothed on the beige one, wouldn't think for a second they would chisle them out again to spray it black.

Hupdate. Been to a breakers and found a Paseo with fogs. Turns out I sold these to a chappy 3/4 years ago for £30, and bought them back from the breakers for £15. They had the original red paint under stonechips in the blue. Sprayed them a quick bodge silver to tide me over untill I get some black paint. Want them looking original OEM to be honest. Painted the little rusty hoops around the actual lamp too, so they look alot smarter. Heres some shots :

Used to love that Paseo, but it was in Devon somewhere on ebay a few months ago and the engine was knackered. Not sure if its in the scrapyard in the sky or not now though. Any pics of the old white one? I remember the pic of the damage to it and it held out well compared to that Corsa! Used to love that one, inspiration to my girlfriend

Theres an Azure ST (P plate) in the breakers I have been to today. I will be going back up there to get some items on monday so if anyone needs anything let me know. Might need prior payment so I can secure the item. I will refund anything that ends up costing less than my expectations etc.

UK Optional Lipkit is relatively JDM looking, and so is the Japanese Cynos 'Aero' kit (optional in Japan). You could always do something different and make yours JDM by buying a Paseo (around what, £700-1000) and then adding touches. Won't take much. Unless you are the age where you can insure a japanese import easily, then look into importing a fresh Japanese model through Enzo at EP-Tune. Specify more of what your after and il get you some pictures.. I have an archive on my laptop....

Hiromu Naruse - R.I.P. I think that is yet another legend gone. Its a shame as, so it seems, he tested most Toyotas 63' onwards, which in respect, could have been Starlets (most likely sports models, Glanza, GT-T etc) and possibly Paseo too.
