I believe alot of Glanza's came with the keyfob, which means its alarmed. Test the alarm by locking it with the remote and then unlocking with the key. The alarm doesn't disarm so as soon as the door is opened then the alarm should go off. Obviously then just unlock with the fob and it shuts up Seems like a clean motor and I look forward to seeing what you do with it. As for gearboxes.. check the breakers yard, usually find one in there. That or contact Idrees, hes broken a few Stars for spares, he might have a gearbox.

I'd thought of that a while ago, I think a few different skins for us to pick which one we like best would be cool. As soon as I get photoshop on this new laptop I will be more than happy to design the bits and bobs to go with the new themes. A black/grey stylish one would be nice, I'm really liking my HP's swanky windows 7 design.. very easy on the eyes!

How is this done? Is it just continuous sanding untill the lines have gone? Or is there more to it? Presuming its best done with a powertool and not by hand.. but still, I'm thinking of a little project

Fairly easy to be quite honest mate. You have listed alot that I haven't used.. Buy some fiberglass sheeting, some resin, and some hardener. A tub and a paintbrush usually come in handy too! Put a bit of resin into the tub, and a very small ammount of hardener, mix it up with a pensil or something, then use the brush to fiberglass what your fiberglassing. If fixing a cracked lip or something best bet is to fiberglass the inside to strengthen it so it doesn't look all fat at the front. Anyway, guage pods, cut up some guttering tubes up to the size you want it, use your current (or spare?) a pillar plastics, and then somehow attatch them to it, then fiberglass round them. Couple of layers will really give it strength, then some filler to smooth it off etc... its not the biggest thing in the world to be honest. Its a hard process to explain in writing though, so much easier learning it hands on.

Paul, get some black in a flash, or black trim restorer etc etc.. they are very good for the trim in the engine bay, keeps them very smart.

What I would say, instead of jumping in and slandering him, is to talk it through with him first, not just presume hes avoiding you because his PM box is full. Email him, call him etc and then sort it out. THAT way, people wont be put off of his reputation for being a honest guy. Due to the fact that you have not talked it through with him yet, I think it is wrong of you to write it on a public forum with over 5000 members able to view. If you can talk to him and be civilised about it, and the problem is not resolved, THEN you may tell everyone. Topic is now locked.
