thats fair enough i will take a set 4r definite, stick sum washer and away we go
-
ok ill take sum provisionally as well but i have one question, are these a direrct replacement for the oem parts or do they raise the shifter housing at all? it's just i have my gear stick modded to make it a short(ish) shift and i had to raise the housing up with washers to get enough clearance. imo it would be nice to make a set or an option that come with the additional height required and then get rid of the washers 1. i mate i have a sony cdx m88oo flip down fronty one its ok but i would recommend amping everything off it. as for amps i have a JL audio E4300 4 channel amp powering my components, i got the 4 channel amp as it was my plan to run 2 sets of components in my doors as my starlets a 4 door, plus i got a 2nd set of identical components for free due to a computer error.... as for the bass side of things i have a vibe slick A7 digital monoblock amp now after my last one fried itself.... anyway if your looking for a gud amp go for a JL audio it won't die as mine's been belting it out for the last

i have had 2 different sets of lowering springs on my ep91 these were spaxx and now the teins spaxx = these allowed a massive drop of 60mm+ in ride height and looked gud, but were as soft as shit when driving it on. the spaxx springs went soft after a year of having these fitted to the car and lowered themselves another couple of mm's Teins = i got these springs in august and fitted them in stepember last year. they are quite a bit higher then the spaxx id say they give only a mild drop in ride height but still that retain the sporty look, as for handling they are amazing simple as that.

how do you change the gearbox oil
nic1.3 replied to jayjaystarlet's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
hi mate u need about 2.5 litres of oil i got one of the castrol oils available from halfrauds and got sum gbox additive aswell and its really smooth now. ok if you want to change the oil there are 3 nuts to look for on the bottom of the box there's a large nut to remove in order to drain the old oil, on the side box facing the radiator there is another nut to remove, this nut is use to show amount of oil u need to put in the box when filling it. and the nut on the top of the box is best got at by removing the cold air feed fro the stock box. so basically remove all these nuts when the box -
correct man sorry thats 23300-19495
-
oh i though that was the problem too so i rang the main toyota dealer here in cork and they confirmed that the part number i gave them was the correct one for my car so im at a bit of a loss as what to do now
-
yep this is pretty much what i did, its just that the bottom nut wont thread in properly... also in comparsion to jay's filter my new filter has a different part number....do u think that i could have been given a wrong filter my filter part no.2300-19495 jays part no.23300-19395
-
i paid 56.71 euro before vat for it. im in ireland so its all euros for me in sterling this comes to about £43
-
hey there i order and recieved a fuel filter from my toyota garage last friday and tried to fit it, when i got the old filter off the new filter wouldn't thread on properly, by this i mean that the bottom nut on the filter would only thread in about 3mm and it shuld thread in like 10+ mm, im curious has anyone had this problem when changing their feul filters and what did ye do besides refitting the old filter thanx for any help. also here is the part no. for the filter i got can anyone check if this is right? fuel filter no.23300-19495
-
oh well in that sense yes i would agree with u but since geting it fitted there have been no problems with the engine and its pretty much as smooth as ever. i bought it as part of a group buy 4m dave burwash on tgtt and sum of the people who had emf itted prior to that group buy didnt say anything negative bout em and they're were fairly moddd engines so i reckoned it would be safe for mine.
-
yeah mine will do about 285 miles on 37 litres of petrol this is usually what my car takes to refill it. although i have no idea how many litres £45 sterling will get as im euro im paying about 1.16 euro lately
-
oh really whats your reason for that?
-
41mpg that sounds like alot to me like mine had nothing done to it before i got it and i wasnt doing that i've been told that if servicing the car that changing the fuel filter will improve things as these tend not to be done very much. is this true?
-
hey guys just curious as to what mileage people get on their na and what mods ye have done i just want to compare it to my na which is about 32-35 mpg my mods are as follows magnecor ht leads lite weight crankshaft and p/s pulleys earthing kit
